I wish Greek would make a comeback as well. We did some of the "Basic Greek in 30 Minutes a Day" book in our homeschooling, & it was really fun (as well as some Latin, too.)

So MCMLXXXXIX is 1999 while MM = 2000 Actually MIM is 1999, but classical rules don't allow for four X's in a row or a subtraction jumping the all the way from M to I, so 1999 classically would be MCMXCIX.

My tongue was in my cheek. There is, of course, no such thing as a Palestinian language. Some would argue that there is not such thing as a Palestinian in the first place....
