Someone please educate me. I hate the U.N. but I am confused realistically of what we should do. If we were to remove ourself, what would the consequences be. Should the U.N. be replaced? By what? Should a multi-national organization of any kind exist?

"We still have people on welfare that simply refuses to work although they are very able bodied."
Some questions: How many people are on welfare who simply refuse to work although they are very able bodied? Second, what percent of the federal budget is spent on welfare for people who simply refuse to work although they are able bodied? Third, what effect would curtailing this abuse of welfare have on the level of taxation individuals pay?

Must you ask those hard questions? ; ]

According to the liberals, Bush was "selected, not elected" in 2000, which makes this election (2004) his first. Which means he's eligible to run again for his second elective term in 2008. (So, liberals, either cut the crap about "selected, not elected," or hold your tongue in 2008 when Bush runs again.)

You're answer is too simple for me. Give me your complete reasoning. I understand that moralistically why you say this. But specifically I am asking about the whole picture including the consequences and alternatives. Where would we stand and what damage it would do. Philosophically what would you predict would happen if we did this?

From a Technical Point of view the UN was created to preserve and spread Peace yet it has failed to do so since its inception. This ought to be enough to leave. If we leave will the world become less peaceful?. Again the answer is no, since the UN has become an instrument for violence. A clear example is the Israeli/Palestinian Issue ,in which the UN has become an advocate and apologizer of Arab Violence. Recently Kofi Annan called the President Urging him not to attack Fallujah. Case after case after case the UN either does nothing at all, foster conflict or paralysis peace negotiations.

The UN has branched out into a myriad of issues that do not obey its principle objective. Indeed, it has the ambitions of becoming a World Goverment. Examples: Kyoto Protocol, Law of the Seas, ICC , Ban on Firearms, Ban on Land Mines. This ambitious are a serious threat to our liberty.

For starters, he doesn't quite grasp the idea that FR has about a hundred thousand people who would make great president on an ideological basis, but most of them understand that FR is for discussions, not spamming.
