Every war movie must have a "wise guy" with a Brooklyn-Queens accent, looking to make a buck or two. They had one in HBO's Band of Brothers. He's always a corporal. And his kill ratio is supernatural when he's plenty pissed.

"Every war movie must have a "wise guy" with a Brooklyn-Queens accent..." Probably because it's that way in real life: Our infantry platoon had a guy named Fassanella from Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn.

When they showed the real-life members of Easy Company, I immediately knew which one he was without even having to see his name displayed. The actor who portrayed him, nailed him to a "T".

BTW Guarnere is from South Philly, not Brooklyn.

Guarnere (from Band of Brothers) is a real person. Everything in that film is based on the survivor's recollections of actual events.
