Read it again.

Those are the DIFFERENCES in amount payed between the states on an ANNUAL basis. Not MONTHLY payments to the veterans.

Although, some completely bedridden housebound vets do get an additional award on top of the current 100% SC rate which, as you state is about $2400 per month, for specialized home care and nursing services ... and rightly so.

If given a choice between their monthly "benefits" (There really ENTITLEMENTS .. as per, the covenant the nation made with.)

I am sure to a man/woman they would prefer their health and the ability to be gainfully employed over whatever their injuries suffered are on our behalf qualify them for said "benefits".

In reference to Max Cleland:

All politics aside (I do not care for his one bit) he was performing Honorable service when the mishap occurred AND AS SUCH IS DESERVING THE RESPECT DUE HIM FOR HONORABLE SERVICE AND HORRIFIC INJURIES IN PURSUIT OF SAME. Were i a rating he would get all he was ENTITLED to. (I cannot see why he is not S/C for his injuries? On what do you base your statement he is not?)

Could of very easily happened to you, me or some kid in Iraq tomorrow. Point is he served and was there in the position to be injured at the behest of America. (You and I)
