That is not necessarily wrong at all, Indie.

We come to our faith as a "baby" at first. I am not surprised nor bothered that an early teen hasn't read the whole Bible yet believe in God.

Perhaps your problem is that you mistake belief in God and Christ with belief in only previously-read Scripture. One can believe in God, Christ, and the validity of Scripture without having completely read the Bible.
