The Christmas Carol...still one of my favorite stories.

Which reminds me:

The King will reply, "I tell you the truth. Whatever you did for the least of these brothers of mine, you did to me."

I note he didn't say, whatever you told the government to do for the least of these, you did to me. He said, whatever YOU did...so I do what I can.

And I read the Christmas carol regularly to remember about generosity of spirit vs. miserliness.

I read the Christmas Carol every year. It is a great story, and one of Dickens best IMO. You never get the same feel for how long Scrooge spends with the ghosts in the various movies that attempt to tell the story.

It is also a Christmas tradition for me now to watch a Twilight Zone episode called "Night of the Meek". It's bloody awesome, and is also one of the best performances of Art Carney's I've ever seen put to film.

So folks, who is your favorite Scrooge on film? I'd have to vote for Michael Caine, with, believe it or not Patrick Stewart comming in second.
