Chicago Area Marines Christmas Wish List

Roe:

Below is a list of things the Marines of 2/24 would like to receive. These may sound initially like unusual suggestions, but since we are located in one location there are many DVD players and microwaves.

For the Marines:

GAMES, (particularly small electronic games like gameboys, that a Marine can play in his rack during his down time.) Board games, X-Box, dart board, etc (would also be great ideas.)
Cool Warrior Gear
Knives
Watches
Small binoculars

Consumables:
Coffee and tobacco products. (No candy, No baby wipes)
Gourmet coffee and hot chocolate
Microwave popcorn
Microwave food (ie: Dinty Moore (stew), Chef Boy R Dee)
"Pogy bait" (Nonperishable snack food)
DVD's
Magazines (i.e.: FHM, Stuff, Maxim, fitness type magazines)

Special request from my GySgt: Tazo Green Tea.

Eotech holographic sights for the M16A2 or M16A4 (http://www.opticsplanet.net/eotech-holographic-sight-mount.html), GPS (Garmin ETrex or Magellan). Some of these are pretty big ticket, but they would be very much appreciated. And if we got just a couple, we'd raffle them off to the Marines.

I hope I don't offend anyone with this, but if anyone knows the Luvabulls or other attractive young women, letters and pictures showing support would make these young warriors' day!!

Letters of support, especially from former Marines, or famous people would also be appreciated.

For the Iraqi school children: School Supplies, toys, food: preferably Middle Eastern - we plan to give them to a local Mosque for the poor.

The best address to send all of the packages to is Sgt Krull. He will get the packages out to all the Marines and Sailors on a fair basis. His address is:

1st Sgt Tim Krull 2/24 H&S Company Unit 43495 FPO AP 96426-3495

Semper Fi,

Major Rick Coates

This is a local Chicago Unit. The following is linked from the web page of radio host Roe Conn www.wlsam.com. 1st Sgt Krull is a friends of mine from the old days at VMGR 234. They are really good guys and their families miss them very much.

I believe this guy was just on the Roe Conn show on WLS AM. He definitely seemed squared away.
