When is the AP and the MSM going to learn when we take prisoners that we cannot play patty cakes with them.

And when are FReepers going to learn that harming prisoners is an Evil Thing?

A lot of them won't.

It's like that other thread you were on an hour or so ago.

A lot of people here assume ALL Muslims are inheritently evil and deserve any and all things that they might get.

Interesting, too, since some of the ones crying loudest for blood and mayhem consider themselves good Christians.

I am not going to start a flame war on this, but if that is what it take to extract information out of the prisoner to save lives both American and Iraqi I say they do it.

Do you think Al-Quida will stop beheading people if we treated prisoners with Kid gloves or they would stop their suicide bombings if we just up and left. I don't. That is my opinion you have yours. But please don't try to be the morality police for other FReepers.

The time for political correctness and making sure we don't offend the rest of the world is over. Looking at what is occurring in Europe it is obvious this has gone from fighting terrorist to a cultural war. That is my view.

Finally, War is hell. Action are taken and decision are made that if given proper time to think it through might not be done or done differently. Unfortunately in a combat zone and during war time. The luxury of time is not one that is afford to our troops. Yes beating people is bad, but so are car bombs, hijackers, and people that behead innocent civilians.

Weighing the harm done to those "Prisoners" vs. The safety and security of our troops and Iraq. I will agree with the smacking the prisoner around every time. Whether you or anyone else have a moral compunction against it.

The time for being Mr. Nice is over.

There is nothing in this story about "harming prisoners." The photos appear to be of Seals subduing individuals during raids into suspected terrorist locations. I can well imagine a soldier putting a boot onto an individual to subdue/ control them. I can well imagine individuals bleeding, or worse after a military operation. The entire article is nonsense. If the images are so improper, why the statement at the end that they probably depict nothing illegal?

The AP's agenda is to prove the USA employs Nazi stormtroopers to brutalize innocent people. Don't fall for this crap.

"And when are FReepers going to learn that harming prisoners is an Evil Thing?"

What makes you think that FReepers don't already understand this?

Get a life.

Murdering civilians by blowing up the World Trade Center (twice), blowing up trains in Spain, blowing up hotels in Egypt, the Bali Bombings, the beheadings, etc., etc., etc.

These are evil things.
