And in addition, a whopping 30% of all people incarcerated in U.S. prisons are illegal aliens, costing taxpayers $1.6 billion/yr. Illegals comprise around 1/30 of the population of the United States and almost 1/3 of the prison pop (mostly for committing violent crimes).
