FR March 2003:
"When an opponent declares, 'I will not come over to your side.' I calmly say, 'Your child belongs to us already... What are you? You will pass on. Your descendants, however, now stand in the new camp. In a short time they will know nothing else but this new community.'"

"California law allows minors to receive abortions, drug treatment, psychological analysis, AIDS testing and medical therapy without informing parents or guardians."
One more reason to look forward to the day when that cesspool slips into the sea. And I hope it's the day after the last conservatvie moves out of that place.

Exactly.
That parents put up with this--that parents allow themselves to be talked out of supervising their own children is astounding and sick.

One more reason to look forward to the day when that cesspool slips into the sea. And I hope it's the day after the last conservatvie moves out of that place. No doubt the usual apologists will respond that it's only the coastal areas and so forth. But the WHOLE state of California is responsible for laws that are truly evil. And whenever Californians have a chance to do better for themselves (the recall, the Boxer re-election), they invariably fail.

I am so glad that I left Kalifornia - I will not EVER move back there.
I could start there though - cell phones that are GPS enabled and record their location every 5 min on to a local chip. Then every couple of hours, a call is made, a password entered and then the data downloaded to a central database. Parents could keep track of their kids and it would even serve as a aid to child abductions.

So much for permission slips to go on "field trips".
Suffer the pain of birth, change their diapers, pay for thier braces, make them eat their broccoli and I will give you permission to send them on secret field trips.
Sending your child to a California school is child abuse.

Just so you don't embarrass yourself any more than you already have, there are more conservatives living in the great state of California than in any other state in the Union. And it just so happens that CA is the 6th largest economy in the world. And so you don't upset Jim Robinson, CA is where FR originates from.
Now as far as this article is concerned,
this is just another reason for folks to home school their children.

I suggest you take a lower profile when you start pissing about CA.

Whatever Republican runs for AG has just been handed a weapon.
Just keep talking Bill, it's the cheapest publicity we can get.

I notice that you didn't bother to include my entire posting. Well, I don't particularly favor our home State for five generations being called a cesspool.

"But the statute is designed in part to protect children who don't have parents they can rely on or trust. Perhaps the parent is the source of abuse." For a parent to allow anyone to bamboozle him into letting things be done to his children in secret--is a parent guilty of child abuse.

What credentials does one have to have to say that CA public schools are cesspools?
Just checking, since I am a native Californian, lived there 35 years, taught school, and finally escaped three years ago.
I was harassed for being a SAHM, I was harassed for having "too many" children, my brother's children attend a school in which they can't read the Declaration of Independence.
California schools are cesspools. I was so happy to leave the state, and there have only been a handful of things that are not better in GA than CA.

"California law allows minors to receive abortions, drug treatment, psychological analysis, AIDS testing and medical therapy without informing parents or guardians." The schools have to get parental permission to administer an aspirin or a decongestant, but not an abortion. Makes sense to me - NOT!
To: mvpel
...resistance from teachers unions and groups such as Planned Parenthood...Along with ACLU, these are filthy, family-hating, communist-agenda groups that our nation would be better off without.
"Democracy" (can't find that word in my copy of the Constitution) or not, this nation has too many radical groups that support erosion of polite society and elevation of creatures like homosexuals to the extent that the rest are sick enough to want to vomit them out!
To: kellynla
We didn't "run".
We were forced to move due to the computer industry crash.
Are you under the impression that it is somehow ok to say something mean if you add a "LOL"?
It isn't.
