Serves him right for being such a classless commie pinko. If he's still alive, I hope Elia Kazan is laughing his a$$ off today for what Nolte pulled off at his tribute some years ago. Not that I care about Hollywood tributes anymore.

Ah, Nick Nolte. Proud draft-dodger and badmouther of the non-cowards who did serve.

Even if he had never made Prince of Tides he would still be worthy of the gallows.

I can't believe all the snarky comments I'm reading on this thread. Does THIS look like the face of a kiddy diddler to you?

Honestly. Who lets their teenage daughter go to a party at Nick Nolte's house?

"The incident happened nearly two years ago, when Mr. Nolte was not at the property"

Two years ago?! Just waking up now? Dang! That must have been one heck of a buzz.

One of my daughters has a friend who lives in LA. This is what young people do--go to parties. If all your friends and neighbors are movie stars or Hollywood extras, then those are the parties you go to.

Dangerous. It's like those early satires by Evelyn Waugh. The people involved are generally clueless and know no better, because everyone around them is clueless too.

I just read a review by Terry Teachout of a new movie based on Waugh's "Vile Bodies," and that would be a pretty good picture of the atmosphere in which these people live, and move, and have their being.

It took them TWO YEARS to decide to sue? Yeah, sure, right.

Parents: Honey, look at you! You're a mess! Who did this to you? Where were you last night?!

15 Y.O.: Aw, Mom, I had fun! All the kids were there and we only smoked a little pot and we didn't have a lot of liquor, c'mon, the glasses were way to small so we had to keep filling them up...

Parents: Honey, spare me the details for right now, we want to know who did this to you, who's ugly Hawaiian shirt is that and why do you smell like AquaVelva?!...

15 Y.O.: Aw, gee Daddy, I don't know who he was, some old actor like Erol Flynn or something, I think he did movies and stuff when they were in black and white, geeze he was an old fart but he had a way cool pool with a hot tub and his grand daughters are pretty hot.....oops, uh, I mean, heh, heh.. If I were a boy, you know, I... heh, heh, um,... would, uh, think they were, you know... uh, attractive and all...

Parents: Honey, get my attorney on the line...

It's not until you go to the site and read the report that you find out that Nolte had nothing to do with the assault by an employee--because he was out of town.

The parent's suit is based on the theory that he knew the employee had propensities for date rape. This sounds like one of Gloria Alred's flashy 'victim' lawsuits.
