Anderson, 57, of Taos, N.M., was arrested after officers woke her and conducted a field sobriety test. She was taken to Denton City Jail where she was charged with DWI. She made $1,000 bond Thursday afternoon, said Jim Bryan, police spokesman.

A first year law student could get her off of this one if these are all the facts.

Seems difficult to argue that she was driving while intoxicated, if the veichle was parked and she was asleep.

Looks like the officers found her asleep behind the wheel. Likely the keys were in the ignition. That's a DUI in any state.
