Finally, Lo Paro objected to Jackson's statement that "Blackwell presided over a voting system that resulted in quick, short lines in the dominantly Republican suburbs and four-hour and longer waiting lines in the inner cities." Said Lo Paro, "There is no proof that there were longer lines in Democratic precincts than in Republican precincts."
And I stood in line for an hour -- in a predominantly Republican district! SHUT UP, JESSE and GO AWAY!!
My theory is that it takes Democrats much longer to vote; thus resulting in longer lines. First, it takes longer to vote several times than to vote once. Then, when you are constantly looking out for Bull Conner (Democrat) and his Police Dogs (who also vote D) it just takes longer to vote, than it takes a Republican! I loved the picture sequence of Long Lines of Black Voters in Ohio!!
