"But Tribune7 wants to go too. We can't leave him home either.l" Spoiled dog - spoiled kid -- what is the world coming to?!!
LOL - maybe a reliable college-age girl you know can sit with the dog?

"I couldn't dance to save my life.
;-)" Yes - I hear you are given to lurking in the dark corners of the dance halls, *thinking* and *plotting* and *ruminatiing* and even *cogitating* ---

Yes, sitting in dark ponderment, sometimes holding some odd object in my very hands stretched out before me while I hold it transfixed in my stare.
And then I sketch something strange, and go back to ponderment.

It's easy. One-two-three, and a one-two-three.....there now you just learned the waltz.

Colleen, pray that I will get to go to the ball. It will take a fairy god-mother, a pumpkin and glass slippers to get me there.

Think I need to go to bed early, Colleen.
Nan, thanks for being here so much in spite of all you had to do, letting us express just how SPECIAL we think you are --
Night, and God bless, Nan,

I will, Nan. At first I thought you were going to get to Alexandria and then felt uncomfortable driving to D.C. for the Ball. After re-reading what you wrote, I see you are looking for traveling buddies from W.V. Any folks from Ohio going by your way? Any way you can take a bus or train from your home?

Sistah, I think I will wind down for the day. It's been a good day. I accomplished a lot. The kids arrived safely in N.C. with my baby to visit relatives. Jack gave me a pretty hand-crafted bag. Got several gifts of candles and crafty items. But the finished living room (9 ft. ceilings) is the best thing. I'm thankful for good health, for Emma, for my family, and for Kathey who helps me get things done. She is my right arm.
Thank you for helping to make my day fun as well.
Lori, thank you for the conspiracy thread. It was really sweet of everyone to remember my birthday. God bless everyone. Nighty night. Nan

Actually I could make the drive to Alexandria by going the back way through Virginia and north instead of north and in through Maryland. The biggest deterrant is knowing that hubby does not really want me to go and he won't go with me. I don't want to stress him and heavy traffic driving stresses me. I guess old age is making me more cautious. I used to go anywhere without even thinking about it. I'm really going to bed now. God bless.
