The official bio says Williams worked in Carter's White House as an intern. So he's as much a Democrat as Tim Russert, Chris Mathews, "Steffi" Stephanooulos, Bill Moyers and the rest.
Mr. Williams has probably just slit his professional throat. Let's not be naive here.
