Good Point. The funny thing here is that if this school bus driver goes to court and wins a Gay Bus Driver can cite her case as precedence for and then explain his moral values to the kids on the bus.
Wrong. She was NOT teaching, espousing, or otherwise promoting "moral values" or even an opinion. She made a statement of FACT. If you want to make the argument that a bus driver shouldn't talk to the kids about anything but the weather, then do that, but don't make strawman arguments and misrepresent the facts of the incident.
I'll tell you MHO about the parents who objected. They disregarded the facts; they heard "Mel Gibson" and a statement unsupportive of stem stell research, and all they thought was that a 'knuckle-dragging-right-wing-conservative-Christian-red-state-hatemonger is poisoning my kid's mind'.
