"What to do?"
According to news tonight it will take Dennis Hastert to call for a full vote and supress those decent enough to hold out for these immigration provisions.
Contact Hastert's office at:
Congressional Switchboard: 1-877-762-8762
or 1-800-839-5276 or www.house.gov
White House: 1-202-456-1111
And none of the Senate to my knowledge will back up those in the House of Reps. www.senate.gov
That explains the mandate.
Bush's "mandate" had nothing to do with his stand on immigration. A large majority of Americans are opposed to illegal immigration, and are also opposed to giving anything even remotely resembling amnesty to illegal alien lawbreakers.
I know what you mean. Each one of bayourod's wacky positions on the subject of illegal immigration has been debunked many times on these threads, but he keeps coming back and repeating the same things over and over again. I think he does it just to amuse himself.
The President has nominated David C. Bury to be United States District Judge for the District of Arizona.
In addition to destroying our country and turning it into a Latin American thugocracy, like every other dismal country in the western hemisphere save Canada and the United States.
Something for my kids to look forward to.
Comparing the National Council of the Race to the KKK or to a white supremacist group is a really bad idea. It's enough to point out that La Raza *literally* means "the race," even if there might be less alarming secondary definitions.
What should be pointed out is that they were:
1. Created almost out of whole cloth by the Ford Foundation; the Ford Foundation did the same thing with MALDEF.
2. They're a far-left group.
3. They no more represent all Hispanics than the CCC represents all whites. (That's bordering on the KKK reference, so perhaps there's a better way.
4. They're very strong advocates for massive illegal immigration, specifically of those who are of "La Raza". There are tons of newspapers stories where they're the go-to-guys for pro-illegal immigration quotes.
I was pondering that very thing myself today. What kind of country will my children and grandchildren be living in ten years from now?

"Other Pioneer Fund grantees include, among a host of others, the University of Minnesota, Johns Hopkins, The City University of New York, Stanford, and that well known nest of Nazis: The University of Tel Aviv."
At least our kids know what is going on, and fully understand that this entire disaster is being forced on us by our own government.
Buh-bye Alberto...'bout time.
Which is more than a lot of adults!
If things don't change, it will make the break up of Yugoslavia look like childs play.
Exactly, that's why we taught them good. And I also agree, most of the adults in this country don't have a freaking clue WTF is up.
I was not aware of this. Can you recommend any sources?
Think so? Bush is so stubborn, insular and arrogant I can see him sticking with his anti-American agenda come hell or high water until a wave of national disgust in the land washes him out of power. America cannot withstand another 4 years of mass invasion and staggering budget and trade deficits without our security, prosperity and sovereignty being greatly harmed. If a lot of people arrive at this conclusion........
I feel the same way.
