I'm at work, but trying to access FreeRepublic on other PCs here in the office is not a problem. If I were a paranoid individual, I would think that someone in the IT department is doing this on purpose because they don't like my politics. Will keep trying. I only try to access FR on my lunch hour. Thank you for responding. FreeRepublic keeps me informed about what's going on in the world and the commradeship is very respected and appreciated.

Well, if you can access FR on the other PCs, then your workplace is apparently not blocking it per se.

One thing you might try is to clear the cookies and cache on your browser. I frequently have to do this in order to access secure web sites; I don't know but it might be related to your problem. These options are under Tools and Internet Options on the IE command line. Don't forget to click on the "Delete all offline content" box when you see it.

(Of course, be sure to back up anything you might want to save before doing this).
