My point was that in some situations, miscarriage and abortion are biochemically equivalent, especially when the cause of the miscarriage (genetic defect that causes the embryo to die suddenly; immune incompatibilities; placental abruption, for some examples.) It is also possible for a woman to be far more hormonally unbalanced and put into an unhealthy state from a miscarriage, than from the normal end of pregnancy (birth.) Miscarriage and birth are *not* automatically equivalent.
