I will not be attending, because I will be headed back to the mideast. However, I was recently in the Washington, D.C. area. If hotels are too expensive or already booked, I would recommend staying in Landover Hills, Maryland, which has several hotels. On a map, it looks like it is a long drive from the city center, but it is actually a very short drive, due to the direct route. Simply take the Baltimore/Washington Parkway south and you will be in downtown DC in about 15 minutes. Probably not an expensive taxi ride, either, if you don't want to deal with the parking nightmare that is Washington DC. For those of you who stay in the city, plan on $25/day for parking. Whereas internet is free in hotels in Landover Hills, plan on paying another $10/day for that service in the city.
Curious what the reservation numbers mean. I got number 1176 but was under the impression that there are only reservations available for 1,000. Perhaps somebody can give us an update on how things are going???
They started numbering at 1000 - each order gets a number, regardless of the number of tickets purchased
Thanks for the quick response...I think we can assume an average of 2 per number at least...don't you so it looks like perhaps 400 to me...just a guess. So looking forward to meeting the Freepers and putting a face with a "screen name."
