The Federalist Patriot ^ | Dec. 1, 2004 | The Editor

This week's "Tyranny of the Few" Award: "Jihad Jesus Republicans need to understand that the separation of church and state has kept this country from getting into religious wars. ... If God was powerful, there would not be a need for the government to go in and force a religious agenda on nonbelieving citizens." --Philip Paulson, atheism activist who, together with the ACLU, sued for 15 years to cut down the Mount Soledad War Memorial Cross in San Diego

Since he doesn't believe in God and does belive in separation of church and state I guess since Thou shalt not murder is in the bible, then it should be separated from law because it is a religious tenet. Therefore, under his own stated beliefs, it should be ok with this guy if we off him as long as it's not in Jesus name.

The term "separation of Church and State' is a lie....those who hate the America of our founders
love to spread around..

So why would one lie stop them from uttering another and another and another...

Or simply uttering the same lie over and over again... until even supreme court judges
believe that lie and rule as though the lie were law...

They are of course willing accomplices....

[This week's "Tyranny of the Few" Award: "Jihad Jesus Republicans need to understand that the separation of church and state has kept this country from getting into religious wars. ... ]

What makes them think we are not having a religious war in this country now? Just because there are no bombs doesn't mean there is no war. The conservative American is battling the hate-speech from the left every day. We are doing everything we can to preserve what is left of common decency for the sake of our children and grandchildren. To disguise their efforts as a desire to maintain a lofty "Separation of Church and State" doesn't fool everyone.

Can we call Marxism a religion, and have the ACLU remove every vestige of it from our public institutions?

Well if the guy doesn't believe in GOD, how can he believe in the separation of something that doesn't exist, from government?

"understand that the separation of church and state has kept this country from getting into religious wars"

Actually, separation of church and state is a recent perversion of what the Constitution says, which is that CONGRESS shall not establish a state religion. Our past has always accomodated both church and state quite well, thank you. Nativity scenes in parks and the Ten Coomandments in courthouses did not lead to bloodshed. However, the recent hysteria over such things may well do just that.
