Um, well, I believe that anal sex (sorry to be graphic) is a very efficient way to transmit disease, and to the extent people have multiple partners it of course has a chance to spread.

In other words, a medically unhealthy lifestyle.

I wonder if a comparison to obesity is useful. People have said that each of these conditions may be the result of a "genetic predisposition" to certain behavior. A very controversial idea, but even assuming it's true, it's been established that each behavior leads to health problems. So why is one behavior (overeating) discouraged and the other (gay sex) is not - in fact the whole marriage controversy seeks to enshrine the practice in law.

Kids are cruel. I was the fat kid who got picked on. I did not have to spend years in therapy getting over it.

And I think I have the responsibility, as a rational human being and not an unthinking animal in a barnyard or jungle, to recognize my own harmful behavior and to CONTROL MYSELF.

Just some thoughts.

:)

Hey, I wasn't fat or gay. I just wasn't athletic and I got picked on.

Kids will pick on each other for anything. If being bullied as a kid damaged your psyche nobody would be healthy.

Except that really big kid who started shaving in 2nd grade. Nobody picked on HIM.

Shalom.

If homosexuals are to be protected from the consequences of their actions, then I see no reason that I should not be protected from the consequences of my actions if I start drinking again.
