MORE ON THE ATLANTA AIRPORT POLICE BRUTALITY MATTER
If you're a Nuze reader you already know the background of this story. Atlanta police officer Terrance Alexander ordered Diana Dietrich-Barnes to move her car as she was waiting for her mom at the airport. She had to back up because there was a car in front of her. When she backed up her side-view mirror struck the cop in the arm ... or so he says. He then decided that Dietrich-Barnes was trying to run over him and ordered her out of the car. The incident ended up with Alexander body-slamming Dietrich-Barnes into the pavement and placing her under arrest. When his police department superiors refused to press charges against Diana Dietrich-Barnes after she was arrested by Terrance Alexander, Alexander decided to press his own charges ... three felony charges ... against her. Yesterday a Clayton County magistrate said that he will not issue any warrants against Dietrich-Barnes.
Terrance Alexander, who, by the way, has faced no less than 11 disciplinary actions in the past few years, most of them for his treatment of civilians, showed up in court yesterday with his arm in a sling. Here's an idea. Obviously Alexander had his arm in a sling in order to convince the court that he was injured. In that respect that sling was actually evidence that Alexander was trying to "introduce," if you will, in the case. Maybe the court could order an MRI for Alexander to see if there are, in fact, any soft issue injuries as his lawyer claims. If the MRI shows no such injuries Alexander could be charged with a conspiracy to obstruct justice.
Meanwhile ... nothing from Atlanta Police Chief Richard Pennington. He has yet to step forward to make a statement about Terrance Alexander and the wave of complaints about Atlanta cops at Hartsfield. There have been over 160 arrests lately ... some for offenses as idiotic as "snatching a ticket from an officer's hand." I wonder if those officers have to put their arm in a sling too?
This woman is going to be very rich very soon!
Hmm lemmie see. I post a story about police abouse and you open your yap and say I have issues. Well I really don't care what a void surrounded by a sphincter muscle thinks.
Your honor....I rest my case.
He may also have a point. Pennington used to be a cop in DC. If you know how poorly run the DC department is, you may understand why Atlanta cops are having problems.
BTTT
I stand by my earlier assessment of you
Well look at it this way, not all's lost.
You've another quote for your profile page!
And it's a real *beaut*, too.
...from a genuine brainstem.
The thing that sticks out here to Me is the sling. (aside from another cop with a bad 'tude)
He was not hurt enough to keep from body-slamming her to the ground but shows up in a sling...?
Maybe he hurt his own arm.
Want some free advice? Don't try to do Mickey Spillane. Mickey Spillane did it ever so much better.
LOL True - excellent idea!! Genuine sincere fan mail is always appreciated.
No
Don't try to do Mickey Spillane.
Who's Mickey Spillane?
I rest my case too.
The airport police were just doing their job, following standard procedure. There is no record of any airport policeman ever violating a citizen.
/sarcasm
Read this juveniles home page to see through his redneck anti everything but guns attitude.
If the women had have pulled around several times , parking in a no parking zone at a high security area she no doubt alerted security to her car and could have been warned previously as claimed, who knows. But for sure not dilbert-from-occcupied-georgia
Atlanta has a crime problem and cops who work in bad areas are often charged wrongly with abuse just for doing their jobs. Doesn't mean they are guilty every time.
""Hmm lemmie see. I post a story about police abouse and you open your yap and say I have issues. Well I really don't care what a void surrounded by a sphincter muscle thinks.
HA!!
Don't ask, just add that one to the list too while you're at it. :o)
Man, you post a pretty valid "news" story & the fruitcakes seem to fall outa the sky!!
What's that?
Well let us not question your good fortune.
...just grow-grow-grow that list!! ;^)
Take that beastly cop out and kill him. Then give that poor little girl, who was so brutally treated, a medal and a million dollars. Matter of fact, judging from most FReepers opinion's that I've read on this and other 'like' subjects, we should just kill all cops. All they do is terrorize the poor, helpless population.
I am reading your posts and see that someone jumps on your case. All you did was post a story about the cops in Atlanta - specifically the airport. What is wrong with certain people on this site that they have to either make derogatory comments or insult people? If they do not like the post, why bother responding to it? I had this happen to me yesterday after posting a harmless joke. Sure, it was a silly joke but it was posted to ease the tensions of the day. Some people liked it and - I thought - a better joke came out of it when someone posted that we have gone from 9/11 to 7-11. But two individuals have to get on thier high horse and demand a stop to vanities, etc., etc. I happen to think your article was worth reading and informative, but alas, someone was offended! Instead of ignoring the article, that person had to make a snide remark to you, one which you did not deserve. I cannot understand these people who had nothing whatsoever to do with the creation or running of this site and yet feel they are duty bound to enforce arbitrary rules they themselves created to harras and insult others.
Let's see...a terrorist goes around several times to "case" where would be best to let his car...and then "parks" it, leaves it to go inside the terminal where she would be safe when it went off, but alas, a policeman tells her to "move" it, so she backs the car up so she can hit the policeman to get rid of him, and then she gets out of the car to "get help" and survives a massive car bomb that kills 100 people at the largest airport in the USA....
