Look, if you don't threaten to kill people, Johnnie Jihad won't care what you threaten to do. They don't understand civilizational throwback. I understand where you are going with this, but it won't deter anybody. I was not trying to be patronizing, just pointing out the obvious.

Chris -- think this through. What is the outcome you seek? Johnny Jihad without ANY infrastructure to support his movement, government, grocery stand, everything, is powerless. If we kill 'them' by the hundreds of thousands, we do not accomplish our goals.
I say we take away their money, power, infrastructure, communications etc., and they will collapse. Lord of the flies on a cultural level.
I'll agree to disagree with you on this one. Johnny Jihad understands force manifest on him, not just threats. When Johnny wakes up on day 1 and can't get any information, nothing works, AND he saw the night sky light up, he'll wonder. On day 5 when he still has no food etc etc. he'll know he got hit hard.
I believe YOUR point is not so obvious on its own. ;-)
