Bush's victory in the US presidential election challenged-- UK Guardian (Left 'mob' stirs the pot)

George Bush's victory in the US presidential election will be challenged in Ohio's supreme court today, when a group of Democratic voters will allege widespread fraud.

However, Cliff Arnebeck, a lawyer representing a group of voters challenging the Ohio result, claimed new analysis of various anomalies suggested it was rigged.

"We'll be calling for a reversal of the result based on evidence developed in the course of litigation," Mr Arnebeck told The Guardian yesterday. "Exit polling and substantial irregularities excluded votes that should have been counted. There is evidence that votes cast for one candidate were moved to the column of the other candidate."

Mr Arnebeck, a legal adviser to a liberal group, Alliance for Democracy, said the "contest of election" lawsuit will be presented to a judge from the Ohio supreme court today on behalf of at least 25 disgruntled voters. He said he expected other voters and organisations to join the case.

Mr Arnebeck said that hearings held in Ohio cities have brought to light new evidence of malpractice. He said one voter of a pro-Republican group caught destroying Democratic registration documents in Nevada before the election, had also been operating in Ohio.

They are not getting over it. What do we do?

What we should do is seize the moment to demand improved ballot security measures.

There's that "seriousness of the charge trumps the facts" thing again.

Arnebeck et al are going around screeching that Ohio results are skewed because a Democrat Supreme Court Chief Justice candidate (Ellen Connally) got more votes than Kerry did, which proves fraud on the part of Republicans.

Only problem, Arne, ol boy, is that you're a liar. Connally received 2,018,987 votes. President Bush received 2,796,147 votes. Senator Kerry received 2,659,644 votes. Last time I checked, 2,659,644 is a wee bit larger than 2,018,987 (of course that might just be my publik skrewl math showing). Really! These blow-hards think they can tell a fib and nobody will question them or go check the facts? (I guess they're used to having their tirades taken at face value.)

By the way, Guardian, here is the link to the Ohio Secretary of State's election page. Check for yourself.

Don't you love it when the media prints bald faced lies, still not understanding that they are going to get called on it?

Good post.

Good to see you again Tonkin!

My biggest concern is that the SwiftVets will not continue forward with the evidence that proves Kerry betrayed this country because this one election is over.

He's still a traitor and shouldn't be elected to be a garbageman.

I've posted on the SwiftVets website that their work wasn't over until the indictment came in and Kerry was led away in handcuffs.

I further stated that, should this issue remain open, Kerry will rewrite history and become a martyr to the evil Swiftees and their pack of lies (yadda yadda).

Although this election is over and the right man one (Praise the Lord), Kerry is still a threat because Kerry is still a traitor (and so is Kennedy for helping to coverup his past).

/I will now step off my soapbox
