Well ... because it's you two I'll stick around. But I can't contribute anything to speculations about "the earth evolves as a single living global entity." I plan to snooze through that, and I'll perk up when we start to focus on some biological distinction between living and non-living cells.
If the hypothesis regarding the primary universal vacuum field is correct, PH, that would tie absolutely everything in the universe together (so to speak), constituting, as it were, a single "entity."
Of course, that's a big "if." But if true, it would account for a lot of what we can observe in the universe, but have difficulty explaining; e.g., the phenomenon of non-locality, the nature of "dark energy," etc.
