"Message capacity" is descriptive and more nearly accurately captures the concept. It's a bit bulky. "Messcap" sounds like an article of clothing though.

Another possibility is just use "Anzeigekapazität" or "Anzkap" (keeping with the German tendency to abbreaviate) rather than "information." The French could put it on the front of a camera as a l'Anzkap.
LOLOL! But, er, if we combine or concatenate the terms message and capacity (channel capacity) - we would be intermingling two concepts of Shannon-Weaver and omitting encoding/decoding and the communication itself, the decrease of entropy in the receiver.
