Christmas is about the birth of Jesus and for the little ones Santa Claus is in there too. God Bless America and all the people in uniform Past, Present and the future to come who Protect Her.

I was going to post the column (with BobLee's permission), but you beat me to it. I've been reading BLS since he was on GoHeels.com. Great guy with a real level head -- a rarity in the sports world.

I don't think that anyone, even an atheist, should have a problem with Christmas. (I suspect even the atheists celebrate Christmas without the religious reference.) Jesus Christ was probably the most influential historical figure ever. Even those who don't believe that he was the son of God cannot deny this. If we have a holiday commemorating the birth of George Washington and a holiday commemorating Martin Luther King, it makes sense to have a holiday commemorating the birth of Christ.
