Bush has demonstrated coattails. That's what's going to keep him from early lame-duckhood. If he's a conservative as well as compassionate, now is the time to show it. If he has political capital, there's nothing to save it for. You can't take it to heaven with you.

My thoughts exactly. He did say in his press conference after the election he would spend the political capital he earned. Let's hope its a productive two years.

"Bush has demonstrated coattails"
Yes he does.
Before the 2002 elections, the liberal media were already talking about a Democratic Party sweeep of both houses, until Bush decided to spend political capital and campaign very hard for Republican candidates, resulting in a big GOP win, unlike Klinton who lost both houses for the RATS after 2 years in office.
Expect Bush to go out to campaign massivley for the Republican candidates who are going to run against those 5 Democrat Senators up for reelection in 2006 in the Red states, plus fight hard for the Republicans in the blue states.
Expect Republicans to pick up at least 3 US Senate seats come 2006. Prsident Bush is the best thing that has happened to the Republican Party for a long time.
He just keeps winning everything.

David Pryor from Arkansas should be focused heavily on.
