Picture this:
Somewhere in the world, a filmmaker creates a short documentary that chronicles what he perceives as the excesses of anti-abortion activists. An anti-abortion zealot reacts to the film by killing the filmmaker in broad daylight and stabbing anti-abortion tracts onto his body. How does the Hollywood community react to this atrocity? Would there be angry protests? Candlelight vigils? Outraged letters and columns and articles? Awards named in honor of their fallen comrade? Demands for justice? Calls for protection of artistic freedom? Its a pretty safe bet that there would be all of the above and much more. And all of the anger would be absolutely justified

Bump.
John Grisham writes a book about big tobbaco buying off a jury, and Hollywierd changes it to big guns.
Actually to some of us he will always be Pat Sajak, the KNBC weatherman.
Wow, what an articulate article. I'm sure his bank account would disagree, but it almost seems to be a shame that this guy has been a game show host instead of what could've been a career in punditry.
KNBC? Where is that? I remember when he was a weatherman in Nashville, around 1983...
It's in a little town on the Coast called Los Angeles.
Los WHAT? Never heeered uv it... (a little Tennessee hillbilly humor).
He must have gone from Nashville to L.A.
This is exactly why people don't speak out against tyrants. They are cowards.
People like you and me are not in danger from retaliation, but famous people are. And they come in two flavors -- brave men or cowards. The cowards are either silent or they spit venom at good people who will not respond with lethal force.
The Pat Sajaks and the Matt Drudges of the world are much braver than we can imagine.
bttt
ROFLMAO!! Guess ol' Pat won't be invited to Mikey's parties anytime soon .... :)
Like me you must be getting old. I checked. He was in Nashville until 77 and then KNBC 4 until 83.
Wow--clear thinking from a Hollywood person! Whoda thought it possible? Pat really nails them, too. Whether it's from sheer cowardice, illogical tolerance of anything non-Christian, or just petulant immaturity, the silence of the Hollywood sheep speaks volumes about who and what they are.
Ha! Old.... Yep. That's me!
Thanks for the info.
