Just heard Rush - only 39 protestors. Had a live feed from Ottowa reporter. What gives?

The media believes if they report there will be a protest then the protestors will just show up. I'm sure the Canadian press is very dissapointed.

#2 Referencing this report: "Some of the several hundred protesters near the Parliament building were polite. "Please leave," read one sign along Bush's highly secured motorcade route".

President Bush sought Tuesday to patch up relations with Canada after years of bickering, flying here for tough hemispheric and global talks amid boisterous demonstrations from opponents of the U.S. led-war in Iraq.
...patch up relations...Seems odd that the Prez is "seeking" to patch up relations. I would think Martin should be groveling in DC to patch up relations before the economic plug gets pulled.

You know the media - estimate X4 for the libs and take away X4 for the conservatives. /s

The negitiations that I want to see
involve the annexation of Canada and
the internment of all French loozers
in gulags in the northwest
territory.

Cold weather. That must be why Lefties didn't show up. Besides Bush won't be staying for long so a massive protest was kinda pointless.

REALITY CHECK: Most Canadians admire Americans, in any democratic society you are going to get protesters, I can recall protesters in Seattle shutting down the I-5 with their anti-war protest and the violence a few years prior with the anti-WTO protest. Does that mean all Americans are against the war and international trade? Please don't judge Canadians by sensationalist media, the voices of dissent are a tiny percentage compared to the voices of praise.

Makes you wonder if they were all Democrats bussed up from the States. No French signs in that pitiful crowd.

But others near where Bush and Martin met held placards that branded Bush an "assassin." A truck parked near the motorcade route was emblazoned with the phrase "Bush is a war criminal." How come no one gives a damn about the 30,000 people slaughtered in the Sudan war?

We don't judge all Canadians that way. I understand your feelings, I live in a so called "Blue state".

Also, considering Bush just clearly won re-election what of them to gain? Clearly the USA doesn't care about them lecturing us.
