No! I went to Valparaiso High School! I have never heard of anything like that. Valparaiso is an uppity twilight suburb of Chicago with a population of ~35,000. The biggest issue people are having now is that they don't want metal detectors in the schools because that implies they need them like a Gary, IN or south side of Chicago school. This kid wasn't even from Valpo; he was from Wauconda, IL which is way more rural than Valpo and probably further from the city. This kid is a whack job. Chances are, every school of 2000+ students gets a whack job sometime in its history. It just so happens that now the whack jobs kill and maim cause they heard the idea somewhere.
