To get a sense of the distance involved, the target at the tip of the top arrow is about the same distance away (900+ yds):

There is no greater purpose, nor more noble calling, for the committed jihadi than to stop speeding projectiles in the manner so described.

Likewise, there is no more neighborly thing a Marine can do for him than to help with his most earnest quest - to die for his "cause."

The conversion of murderous 'slammies into wormfood is always a wonderful thing.

The Marine Corps motto of "one shot one kill" is an effective use of deadly force. Marine Corps Snipers are the World's deadliest Snipers.

"The battalion (executive officer) ordered me to 'make the mortars stop,'" said Sandoval, a native of El Paso, Texas. "I took it personally and went out specifically to stop the insurgents."

Our military at its best. Sometimes I wonder, where do so many great men come from? We're certainly lucky as nation.

Somewhere Carlos Hathcock is smiling. His legacy lives on! This guy deserves a white feather! [Ask any Marine sniper about this!]

Amazing. I thought the 7.62 x 51 round was only accurate out to 700 meters. With specialized ammunition I now know that the M-40 is deadly out to 1000 meters.
