"Last month, the NCAAP announced that the Internal Revenue Service was reviewing the organization's federal tax-exempt status. NAACP chairman Julian Bond said the investigation stems from a July speech he gave that was critical of President Bush. Tax-exempt organizations are required to remain nonpartisan."

One of the first bills our new congress should pass is a new bill that very clearly states any political partisan activities by any Tax-exempt organizations will result in loss of Tax-exempt statuts for 10 years. The board members and directors of any Tax-exempt group would be responsible in both criminal and civilian courts for the violation. If found guilty, they could go to jail and lose what they own in civil courts in damages. If the Tax-exempt group is guilty of more than one violation, their character is permanently revoked, and their board members and directors are banned from ever serving on any future non profit board.
