The US ought to declare publicly the measures that would be taken should a weapon of mass destruction be detonated in an American city.

We would do nothing, and that in the end is the sad truth, however, we cannot nuke a city for what a handful of people do. Flame on ...

Bush already said a couple of years ago that we would respond with nuclear weapons, if necessary.
