Since the photons are taking a helical path, does it take more time then a straight path?

Kind of interesting, does it take the same time but go farther, or does it go the same distance but take longer.

Or is everything constant?

My head is spinning.

Must be the Dirac field.

It seems to me that since the speed of light is fixed, it can not change the time to take the helical path as opposed to the straight path.
