Reminds me of the prank several years ago during the half time of a Rice vs. Texas A&M football game. The Rice band (or about 60% of them) marched onto the field in a Texas A&M logo formation -- a large "T" with a smaller "A" and "M" on either side. The Aggies went wild with applause. Then the rest of the Rice band marched on the field, adding an "E" to each side of the original formation. The applause stopped.

My favorite Rice band story was the Aggie game when they came out to honor Reveille, the A&M dog mascot in a fire hydrant formation.

A group of Aggie Corpsmen drew their sabres and went after several band members in the end zone. Last time the Corps were allowed to bring their weapons to a game!

If y'all want me to explain what an Aggie Corpsman is...uh, never mind.

But getting back on-topic, I'm surprised that Harvard fans fell for that "hack," considering that CalTech students pulled off exactly the same stunt some 43 years ago!
