Totally agreed: France and Germany have finally accomplished what the Treaty of Versailles and the blitzkrieg failed to do. It was a dark day when France picked up her old Vichy mantle to ally herself with the Fourth Reich.

Not really. Europe's demography is disastrous. In thirty years their population will decline by 70 million people. High marginal tax rates make it diffucult for the middle class to have more than one child and maintain a middle class lifestyle. Ethnic Europeans are either by contraception or abortion are not reproducing themselves. Of course Muslim immigrants have no problem raising five children with generous welfare payments from the state.

I think calling the EU a "Fourth Reich" and comparing it to Hitler or the old Roman Empire is a bad analogy. The EU is more like the old Holy Roman Empire of the Middle Ages, the "First Reich"... a cross between a confederation and a supranational government. it was not holy, it was not Roman, and it was not an empire. It was an amalgamation of separate nations that imploded upon itself.
Economically the EU may be strong but they have no military strength. They won't be able to hold the EU together through brute force. Plus the Eastern European countries & the UK aren't entirely going along with the idea of an EU common defense policy. If France and Germany think they can turn the EU into a superpower to rival the US they are mistaken.

Actually, it will be the 5th Reich. Hitler was the 3rd Reich. The post war democracy to today, is the 4th Reich and the German control of all of Europe will be the 5th Reich.

The plan is however, that the Euro will weaken so badly and the financial controls surrounding the European Union, i.e., GDP, inflation and debt rtatios, become so unworkable that reintroduction of the Deutsch Mark would be the only way to recover. German money would be followed by German language and then German control. You KNOW the French won't oppose them.

Hitler foresaw the 3rd Reich lasting 1,000 years. The builders of the 5th Reich have no problem with taking 50 years to establish it.
