I thought that this story was too positive to be reported, until I saw the author's description, at the bottom:

"A former U.S. Marine infantry leader and paratrooper, W. Thomas Smith Jr. is a freelance journalist and the author of four books, including the Alpha Bravo Delta Guide to American Airborne Forces."

At least the story was told.

Excellent post. This should be headline news on every major paper. But I won't hold my breath.

it dawned on me while reading that inspiring article that this writer is why the socialists hate the U.S. military. our military creates or refines men such as this, instills love of honor, duty, and country in them. This writer is the greatest fear of the socialists of this country, and his brothers in arms will be our next generation of writers, polititions and voters. in order to make these great men irrelevant, the socialist media must work to undermine them as they did during and after the Vietnam War. they were somewhat successful in that, and they became over confident. imagine their fear when they see this writer being respected and trusted,, and knowing a generation of men just like him will soon be coming home to vote and be involved in government and media..

there is hope people.. we must just hold the ground until these new, fresh warriors take over..
