Criticize Ms. Rice's policies, but not her race or appearance Well that's what I did on this thread,
but the usual mob of cheerleaders didn't want to hear it.
I guess they don't have talking points prepared to handle substantive criticism just yet.

I think most of us are pretty polite, actually, except perhaps among us girls here on Free Republic... Motes and beams, I'm afraid. Remember how Rush used to taunt Robert Reich's shortness on his TV show? I'm not saying this is our only mode of expression but it does happen and not always "among us girls."
Mind you, I'm not objecting... I think political argument ought to be 'robust', if only to avoid the temptation to turn us into Canada. But we slang them as much as they slang us and complaining about it is a waste of time at best and an invitation to political correctness at worst.

I'd rather see Dr Rice run in 08' at the top of the ticket.
Check out rice2008.com & draftcondirice.com.
Hillary is shakin' in her shoes.

I don't think the electorate would go for it yet. Simply - and only - because she's relatively young, and would be a more formidable candidate with more experience under her belt. I think a Condi that's been VP for eight years would be a shoo-in.
I look at it this way: The nation needs her as President. That is what needs to be accomplished! Any one particular election isn't what we need to focus on - it's getting her into the White house for eight years that's important. I want her to win it.

Her age won't be an issue. She'll be 54 and right in line with the following candidates of their time:
Kennedy - 57; Clinton - 46; Bush - 54 and lest we forget Gore - 52.
Again, age won't be a factor.
