As a result of the Security Council's November 18-19 meeting, Sudan's Vice President, Ali Uthman Muhammed Taha and the Southern rebel leader, John Garang of the Sudan People's Liberation Movement/Army, pledged for the second time over the last year to stop the 21-year civil war between the northern Islamic government and the Christian and animist south. Perhaps stopping the civil war will pave the way for peace in Darfur as well. That's the good news to emerge this week.

But there are also several reasons for doubt.

The Security Council entices the warring factions in Sudan with debt relief, reconstruction dollars, and humanitarian aid.

Get real! Debt relief? Now Abu and Mustaffah won't have to worry about paying their debt (as if they intended to anyway).

Reconstruction dollars? Muhammed U-bomb-it will be thankful for more weapons that he'll buy with these "reconstruction dollars" to massacre many more Sudanese Christians.

And humanitarian aid? This will only feed the Sudanese military and won't add one molecule of nutrition to Sudan's starving south.

Unbelievable.

Annan is there to INSURE slaves and children for sex
for the UN's terrorist and Islamic sickos.
How else to coverup Annan's own (and his son's) corruption.

"The UN Security Council Does Africa"

Is this a little bit like "Debby Does Dallas"?

Because it does seem like a lot of seriously unprincipled behavior is going on, and the UN is right at middle of the action.
