It is in the Sunday Telegraph also.
I think there may be some more reaction to this article in the coming week from the 'silent majority'.
Ever since the MacPherson report and unthinking Government reaction emasculated the UK Police force, by enforcing PC (not Police Constable!), the Police have been going down the tubes.
I have a number of police acquaintances who have had enough and are taking early retirement.
What you can read within this article is the result - ill-trained and obviously unsuitable recruits, 'fast tracked' through an abbreviated training regime in order to get more 'bobbies on the beat', as part of a political exercise.
Twenty years ago the UK Police were a well-respected organisation. They could keep or restore order simply by their presence and the respect owed to them. I am sorry, but now they are ill-trained, underfunded, hamstrung by PC and, it would appear, ill-mannered, abusive and incompetent.
This article has to be the worst I have read in the UK Press on the subject, but alas, I am not surprised by it.

Sounds as if you're English. Do you foresee a turnaround over there?
