The boyfriend of the prostitue waited in the car while she was having sex with Beckel. Bob's wife was out of town when he phoned the girl for sex from an ad he saw on the internet.
He wrote her a check for $600 (two hours work at $300 an hour), and the next morning he found a note on his car windshield asking for a large sum of money or he would be blackmailed.
Beckel called his attorney, and they sweated for a day over what to do. Finally, they decided to go to the police because there was no guarantee that even after he paid the hush money, the story would not wind up in the tabloids or on the internet.
What amazes me is that Beckel is still a Democrat shill. Two weeks ago he was on TV screaming at Ann Coulter. I thought "Why is he still around?"
