... appealing to the Supreme Judge of the world for the rectitude of our intentions ...

Do you think members of the liberal left, who have actually read this document, believe:

A. the "Supreme Judge of the world" was an atheist
B. rectitude is the cleansing process of the large intestine
C. this was propaganda to draw the un-educated common man into war

Difference here being that the elite themselves fought on the battlefield. Imagine that happening now.

The "supreme Judge" line also works against the standard conceit that this was written by a Deist who believed that God created the world and then hit the highway.

Frankly, I cannot figure what these liberal, humanist school officials, public servants, and citizens truly think for sure! What is obviously absurd is seen as logical by them and vice versa.

I, as you, do not like to watch our people’s rights being coerced from them. As they say, “Freedoms are not free”; they have been bought with a price-the blood of uncountable soldiers and compatriots. The glory of America is being blasphemed.

In the Constitution of the Great State of Arkansas, as in the Declaration of Independence, it makes it clear, "All political power is inherent in the people and government is instituted for their protection, security and benefit; and they have the right to alter, reform or abolish the same in such a manner as they may think proper."(Art. II, Sec. I) I am disposed to assert that measures, such as the USA Patriot Act, Homeland Security Bill, and other recent acts, are clearly hostile to the U.S. Constitution, U.S. Bill of Rights, the vision of our forefathers, and our noble heritage. Therefore, while these measures claim to protect us physically, they do not afford a defense of our hard earned liberty, nor do they afford us "protection, security, and benefit".

What is PEACE worth? A noted patriot, Patrick Henry, emphasized, “Gentlemen may cry, ‘PEACE! Peace!’ But there is no peace. . . What is it that gentlemen wish? What would they have? Is life so dear or peace so sweet as to be purchased at the price of chains and slavery. Forbid it, Almighty God! I know not what course others may take, but as for me: Give me Liberty, or give me death!”
