Is this the only way they can get visitors, let them in free?
"they couldn't pay me enough!"
You mean you would pass up a free chance to visit the "adult reading room (children under 12 NOT admitted, those 13-18 admitted only with a parent)"?
Or miss the "sex toys" room, complete with a humidor that used to be in the Oval oriface?
Me, either.
Not even if the blue dress was on display.
Tried not to laugh. Couldn't hold it. Cleaning up mess now.
It's not only free admission, but you get 10% off the next month's rent at most Little Rock area trailer parks.
Plus, you get a coupon you can redeem in the library gift shop for your choice of one Monica Cigar or the fun and challenging maze game-- "Who hired Craig Livingstone?"
I bet many people walking into the Oval Office replica are really wanting to see the bathroom.
The first F5 tornado comes along it'll be over on the east side with the rest of the Ozark trailer park trash.
However, there is a mandatory $24.99 charge to rent a HazMat suit prior entering the double-wide. This was instituted by Atlanta's CDC headquarters due to an oubreak of VD and other sexually transmitted diseases. The fee is being subsidized by local taxpayers.
Yes, we all know about setting up those easily achievable expections, Skipper.
Went searching for stats about other Presiditial library opening's attendence and ran across this piece by MSNBC.
My favorite part:
"On the other end of the attendance scale, the Jimmy Carter library in Atlanta has drawn an average of 72,295 visitors since 1999."
Hey! What happened to the '73 Pinto next to the double wide high rise?? Oh, they ran out of blocks!
I agree. With the volume of selling condoms, and rental fees in the massage rooms, it should more than make up for the $7.00 admission fee. The HazMat rental fee is the breadwinner though.
GrayFox, Must be karma. I just finished saying the same thing to my wife. That place will be surrounded by weeds within a year; unless taxpayers fund the gardeners.
It's apparently a "holiday special" according to the article.
Hey, man! I just checked your bio. Gotta say I love them cars. I'm just an over-the-hill "drag racing" dude now, but in my day, I owned a 1940 Ford, with a 1951 Olds V8 in it, a 1960 Pontiac Catalina "tri-carb" 389ci V8, a 1978 Trans Am powered by an earlier 455ci V8 (twelve second quarter mile), a 1988 Corvette and a BMW 325 stick shift, all fun cars. Today, I just have been reduced to a maniac NASCAR fan. However, fear not, I can still tool around when necessary. Have lots of fun!!!!
Yes, I know what the word means -- it just seems funny coming from you. ;)
Gimme a copy of the story! Please.
Hell yeah skip the admission cost....the goobers will spend more in the gift shop.
It's FREE!!!, and it still ain't worth every penny. 9000 people in a city when the fee is waived after a week when the MSM has been celebrating this HUGH EVENT and just waiting with bated breath - the Clinton Presidential Library to be opened in one hour!!!! That's just pathetic.
Leno: What experience to you have to be the director?Director: I used to manage an adult bookstore on 42nd street before Mayor Guiliani kicked us out.
Leno: How did you meet President Clinton?
Director: I used to manage an adult bookstore...
The 1960 had a six pack carb... Sequentuial three deuces?
