The irony is priceless. He's nailing the issues dead to rights, and she thinks she's exposing what an ignorant clod he is.

I dont' think you can really say that, she's given him space in the NY Times, that's hardly mockery. And it seems he was polite enough not to bash her by name, although she says it's edited for space, so we'll never know for sure.
The brother's letter is really excellent, extremely well written. I esp. like the "John Edwards, thanks for being there" line, that is too sly.
I wish the brother would write more and the sister less, but it's clear the talent runs in the family.
