This is great stuff. Imagine being related to that moron---what a disgrace. Three cheers for her siblings!

As much as I detest Maureen Dowd, I can relate to her frustration ... I have a west coast liberal sister (you want to hear West coast ... try Vancouver Island, BC). This beloved sister of mine (I'm sincere) flew back to Canada's capital ... Ottawa, to participate next week in bashing the Bush visit to Canada. You people standing on the sidelines have no idea ...

Maureen Dowd needs to have TG at her place and balance the guest list out with people of her choosing. People like Ted Rall, Michael Moore, Whoopi Goldberg and Jon Stewart.

Of course her family seems a bit too normal to want to associate with the likes of those in her social circle and may opt for going to Mom's for Mom's potato dressing as usual.

Mom can send over an extra helping of potato dressing so that Maureen can stuff her ears for the next four years. She is going to hear a lot of truth about herself and the NYT that she does not want to hear.

I have a running joke at holidays. When one of my brothers brings a new girl we haven't met. The first thing I do is ask her to pull up her sleeves. When she asks why, I say, "I'm checking for tree bark on your forearms." I then ask said brother if she is a tree-hugger. It's always good for a laugh.
Now that deadbeat Dad is over 65, lonely and financially pot-less, the rest of the family has to suffer his MSM talking points about how GWB is going to steal his SS check and how Bush is getting our boys killed in Iraq over a lie. It's pitiful how gullible some people get when retirement age approaches. They exit this world as they entered it; bald, toothless and dependant on everyone else for their survival.

I have never heard of Sedaris, but, if The Dowdy One likes him, I get an idea of what he considers a "normal family life."

He's gay. That should tell you all you need to know.

Maureen Dowd? Still writing? I'm confused. I thought I saw on the TV cable news the other night that a house from Kansas, dislodged in a tornado, had fallen on Dowd and killed her.

They exit this world as they entered it; bald, toothless and dependant on everyone else for their survival. Not if they are a liberal boomer... They depend on Jose and Hesse because they took advantage of birth control and abortion. The kids just pay the taxes.

I can think of one FReeper right offhand named Kevin. Uh, True, is there something you're not telling us?... :-)

When she returns you can point out to her that by Bush visiting Canada he's helped the economy, she's the prima facia evidence!!!. Thank her and remind her it's 4 more years, get used to it, LOL.

We just moved back here from Southwest Florida. My wife was born and raised in Oregon in a family of democrats. I converted her to a gun toting hardcore Republican. That is scary since she is a redhead. Her family refuses to discuss politics with us now. Her uncle went ballistic when he saw the autographed photo of George and Laura on our mantle. He wouldn’t say anything, but he was shaking. I worked ten and twelve hour days at the Republican headquarters for the last three months of the election. When my wife told her family, the comment was, “That’s nice.” Then they changed the subject.

I don't think we should look a gifthorse in the mouth. This is one cool New York Times column. Maureen may have a conservative brother, and he may have written a pro-Bush email to his friends, but the biting wit in this letter is pure Maureen...and she turned it full-force on her own, didn't she?

Well, welcome to Oregun. You may be in for a little culture shock. Don't let the latte sipping, self hating, petuli smelling, tree hugging, Birkenstock wearing, socialists scare you. They are harmless.. unless you pay taxes.

I let my four year old granddaughter play with my Ann Coulter doll today. What a hoot. When her mom picked her up we told we were indoctrinating her daughter.
