He can run as a Democrat in the Democratic primary. If he wins, his election in November would be virtually assured. At least he could weaken Kerry enough that he wouldn't coast to an easy win in the fall. Kerry would have to choose between running for President in a presidential election year or keep his Senate job. My guess is he'll stay in the Senate til he retires or dies. Uncle Ted's almost pushing up daisies.
