And we would quickly discover family and friends we never knew we had.

I cannot imagine in my wildest dreams going to some friend or family member with my hat in hand with a sheepish grin trying to suck up to them because they had a financial windfall. Where's the dignity in that? Shameless!

Some people have no dignity or shame – I have a few inlaws in that category and my late wife brought a few friends into my sphere that qualify – but she did warn me about them. Even though I haven’t seen much of them since my wife’s death I have no doubt that winning the lottery would change that.

I can't imagine it either, unfortunately most people can. Most people have no class anymore, if they ever did.
