Playing state lottery is now not a question of trusting your luck but trusting your government.

Incredibly I just realised, by looking in the web, that there is NOT ONE page so far that explains that, although there are more probably more than one billion people playing around the world. (1)
So I will start a thread to explain how it works, and leave later here a link to that thread.
(1) - I never checked the web before to see if someone already exposed it, because I was 99.9% sure that was the case. Once again I underestimated the current degree of brain wash ...

"but I would tell them to go bob for snapping turtles."

I am guessing that the person who goes first always wins????

Now THAT'S funny

He just wasn't equipped for the money as are not many winners.

The latest MegaMillions winner just announced ($149MM) is a parking lot attendent and is currently bankrupt.

And how do we know this? These people make the invitable first mistake - telling anyone they won! Of course, he has a family just as this story's subject, which is problematic.

My aunt received an inheritance from her late husbands estate (5 mil) She had 4 mil set up in a trust fund and relocated to another area and bought a modest home and invested the rest trying to parlay that money into a cash cow.

However, she has no business sense and the people she had dealings with milked her dry and before long she was dependent on her allotment from the trust fund to get by. She said she is glad she has the rest of her money protected. "even from herself"

I've always said if it ever happened to me, I would just tell friends and family that I just got a great paying new job. I would still help them out, but people are less likely to beg if they think you are working for it. and yes, that is a rather nice company car, excuse me we have a conference in the Bahamas and I'm late for my flight.

"Winning the lottery is the worst thing that ever happened to me."

What an idiot. No sir, the worst thing that ever happened to you was when you failed to understand sound money management.

You are a smart mouth aren't you?

Only when replying to sniveling whiners.

Too bad they don't give prizes for being the most unfeeling sarcastic freeper, you'd win hands down.

Thank you. I take that as a compliment.

I remember listening to a talk radio about 10 years ago going through Ohio and a man called in and said his uncle had won the lottery 2 years before but donated every last cent to charity because he was tired of the same things this article describes.

People like that are truly my heroes. The charities benefit and they benefit too. I just wish I were strong enough to do the same thing if I were put in the same position.

Now maybe there are companies out there that layoff their best people. But I've never worked in such a company.

I know of at least one such company. By and large it appears to work as you say, but not always. Of course you can see it as a company that statistically is grossly underpriced compared to its peers. It takes looking into its stupid management style to see why its stock prices are so weak.

Deeply religious, yet going out buying lotto tickets? LOL! Another dummy that just couldn't handle the money. What a fool.
